I'm Nanu, a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, and Mum of 3. But before any of those titles, I was simply a woman trying to find herself again. Motherhood gave me some of the greatest gifts of my life, but somewhere along the journey, I slowly started losing pieces of myself. My body changed. My confidence disappeared. The woman I saw in the mirror no longer felt familiar. I remember looking at old photos and wondering where she had gone. Not because I wanted to be perfect. ... Not because I wanted to look like someone else. But because I missed me. I missed feeling comfortable in my own skin. I missed getting dressed without overthinking every outfit. I missed walking into a room without worrying about how I looked. I missed feeling strong. I missed feeling confident. Most of all, I missed feeling like myself. For a long time, I convinced myself that this was just part of life now. That maybe the woman I used to be was gone forever. So I hid. I hid behind oversized clothes. I avoided photos. I smiled on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside. And although I loved my children with all my heart, I couldn't ignore the fact that I was losing my relationship with myself. Then one day, something changed. Not overnight. Not through a miracle workout. Not through a quick fix. I simply made a decision. A decision to stop waiting for the perfect time. A decision to stop waiting for motivation. A decision to start showing up for myself again. One walk. One workout. One healthier choice. One promise to myself at a time. Some days were hard. Some days I wanted to quit. Some days I felt like I wasn't making progress at all. But I kept going. Slowly, my body started changing. But something even more important started changing too. The way I saw myself. The confidence I thought I had lost forever started returning. The strength I thought had disappeared was still there. The woman I thought was gone was still there. She had been there all along, waiting for me to believe in her again. Today, I've lost 34kg. I've become a Certified Personal Trainer. But the achievement I'm most proud of isn't the weight I lost. It's the woman I found. It's the confidence I rebuilt. It's the life I reclaimed. And that's why Reclaiming With Nanu exists.
